Albert Besteiro

It is with a very heavy heart that we are saddened to announce that our founding bassist and brother, Albert Besteiro, has decided to step down from his bass duties in Del Castillo to play more electric
guitar. Everyone who truly knows Albert knows that he is an AMAZING guitarist as well as a great bass player. He will be pursuing his passion for playing guitar full-time with many of his side projects that he has formed over the years. As with Alex, we hope you continue to support Albert’s musicalendeavors and wish him only the best in what the future holds for him.  The love and light that Albert brought to Del Castillo and those around him can never be replaced and we will miss him dearly.   If you have not had the pleasure to see him play guitar, we hope that when youdo, you will better understand his decision to play more guitar.
For all Del Castillo fans, please understand that there isn’t any animosityor ill-will between Albert and the members of Del Castillo that led to this decision. We have nothing but respect and love for Albert and thank
him for all the positive energy he contributed to Del Castillo.

Albert’s Official Statement:
